Malcolm is now over. It really was my dream job. I'm so lucky, first off, just to work as an actor, then to be cast in a great show! Everyone brought their own creative energy to work. Making a TV show takes a lot of people. Two hundred fifty to be (nearly) exact. That's how many holiday gifts our cast orders each year for our entire crew. So, while we get the "face time", we knew it couldn't be done without them.

When I first read the script to the original Malcolm, I realized I had laughed out loud several times. Believe it or not, that is a rarity in Hollywood. But I was confused as to why I was called to audition. The character of Hal was not clearly defined in the pilot, in fact I think he had 6 lines! He also struck me as a butt-crack kind of blue collar worker who doesn't talk much. I was dubious about playing the role until my conversation with Linwood Boomer, our creator and Executive producer. He assured me that Hal was going to be a key component in this ensemble comedy. I took the chance - they did too on choosing me - and off we went. I'm really happy with how Hal developed. I think he's the perfect compliment to the powerhouse Lois, and he's so sweet and vulnerable...traits I could certainly brush up on.
I've posted photos from the set that you won't see in any magazine, and blurbs on what it was like to be on the show. So stay tuned for what comes next and thanks for watching!
